Then it's gen I agree, but if the serial is stolen or what ever you can have problems with any kind of service of IWC. Remember my dad once bought a Cartier al gen paperwork etc. but when he broke the glass and it had to be made it turned out to be stolen and at first they didn't want to give it back. Lucky enough he got it back in the end.

He stated before he gets his parts directly from IWC.... I have no idea how though and it's doubtful he would tell us either.
as for servicing... i would never send this to IWC anyway. I've heard their customer service isn't that great and it can take months while also paying a ridiculous premium. I rather send this to one of our repair specialists.... it's just a 2892.

Wondering though ... I contacted them a while ago about what size thickness spring bars they recommend and they want to send me spring bars now but want my serial case number... should I give it to them? Mmmm... gen spring bars.
What's the point in getting gen spring bars? They're just quality spring bars but twice more expensive than from a regular supplier.
No reason besides it would be free... I was really just interested in seeing if I'd get in trouble. Probably a bad idea really.
