Quality Control can beat the devil .
Its very important to buy through a dealer who will do basic quality control . I just got my UN 45mm Hammerhead shark limited edition . It came in just fine, I first thought , in fact, the movement tested beautifully on my watch timing machine about +2 to +4 seconds a day, robust amplitude and no beat error . I was all excited about what an excellent piece I just got my hands on until I went and rotated the bezel . I was disappointed to find that it's loose and rocks back and forth in either direction .
Now this is an issue that could have been easily prevented had the dealer simply rotated the bezel himself before sending it as a part of basic quality control. It was my expectation that this was being done , we come to expect that here and most dealers do QC their watches for the most part . This a let down for me and the 3rd watch now from the same dealer that has had a detail issue with it because of lax or non existent quality control.
As an update : the dealer has sent me recompense via Paypal . A good sign .
