I want a Rolex but I cannot afford to buy one so I was thinking a nice Tag or some thing. I found this forum by accident but was wondering are fake Rolex watches good enough for me to pass as a real Rolex if I do not go to a AD. I know people with real Rolex watched but no one has the DeepSea and I love it but I do not have $10,000 soon to be $12,000 in May with the price increas. Will I be able to say it is real.

I do feel weird about wearing something fake though I think it would make me feel fake. I am wondering if a Tag is the way to go what do you guys with experience think.

What's your priority ? Wearing a nice looking watch, or wearing a Genuine watch ? I personally have had a few Genuine Tags, and I own a Rep DSSD. My DSSD is good enough that it will pass visual inspection. All reps have flaws.

The question is, how good is your knowledge of a Genuine piece ? Most of the reps you will see here, are not Canal St $50 reps. Most of us have Reps that are in the $300+ range. Look around, read the forums. You will learn a lot !

TBH once you buy a fake rolex you won't feel fake at all. The Reps from the trusted dealers are far beyond the ones you see on street corners.
Read, read and read up some more about the models you like, find a trusted dealer on here you like the look of ( you can't go wrong with Lay at replicamake88.com), be patient and when your watch arrives the only time you'll look back is when your buying another 5 reps and a watch box.

I say you can fool almost everyone but yourself. why do you need a watch that goes down 3900m? if you want a gen buy a gen you can afford. without the caseback off many of the better rolex fakes would pass the scrutiny of 99.9% of the population. the members of this forum on the other hand are a very hard bunch to fool... welcome btw for some of the best out of the box reps check out BK in the trusted dealers section. his watches look excellent.

You definitely dont buy a rep to show off to others. That is how you might get embarrassed. The newest dssd look very close to gen in my opinion. get a good movement and you should pass to most people. its about what you want. for me, i get bored really quick so i dont think i would keep a gen for long, i would probably want to trade it in for a different model. do what makes you happy buddy.

I understand that you may not want to wear a replica and may want a Tag. But I can tell you that their are Deepsea replicas that will pass for a Gen no problem. If you do the oil and bracelet trick you can put a rep and Gen next to each other and have a hard part telling them apart.

I personaly think if you buy reps just to try to "pull it off" as gens you probably should look else where. There is always one person you cant lie to and thats yourself. To me and i am sure many of us here collecting reps is considered a fun hobby. They are affordable, cool to own and fun to play with. You can mod them to your heart desire and make it into a fun project. I always like to show people like hey! Check out my new rolly..oh and its a rep.. Cool huh? 9 out of 10 times people are in shock with the quality. But at the end of the day its still a rep. Many of us here also own both gens and reps so yup like bmw said depends on what your priority is. Seems to me though u do worry about reps being reps and u will get caught. Then if thats the case go for a tag or if you really like the dssd, how bout a nice steinhart ocean 44? But if you want to start collecting watches, rep collecting is dangerous!! Once u start u cant stop!!!

Just my 2 cents

I feel you, nobody wants to wear an obvious fake. Spend some time reading, there are plenty of rolex's on this site that even the most seasoned "fake-spotter" would have a hard time being sure that it's fake if they only saw it on your wrist and not up close.

Gen or quality rep, people are going to make assumptions more based on you than the watch itself... good luck

I owned a gen. Found this site, sold the gen. Bought many high quality reps and still buying. I still have money left over and have the option of wearing a different watch every day.

It's crazy addictive. I treat each watch as a gen. After all, when you spend 500$ and up on a watch, you better treat it carefully!

I personally love the DSSD but that thing is massive.

Try get the tag rep too like calibre 500 or aqua racer chronograph are so good they can be passed off as gen. Ytd I go check out with my AD, I dare to say I put my rep side by side with the gen. They still cannot figure out which one is fake after 5mins.

As for DSSD, it is indeed a beast it owe. I like it very much. Still has some minor flaw but I think nobody will believe it's real even you wear a gen cos it's such an expensive watch that sane people will not wear it for normal daily use.

I had a GEN Formula One Tag for 3 years. It was my daily beater. After finding this site, I got a hold of a rep. The Lume was better on the rep, and they both had the same movement. I couldn't believe it. I sold the GEN for more than what I bought it for , and bought a Tag rep along with 2 more watches.

Read and ask questions their are members here that know a lot about watches and the DSSD. I own a Gen and a rep and unless people hold both at one time there is no telling them apart. Replicamake88 makes a great DSSD. I wear my Gen everyday so don't worry about the size it wears well. I would pass on the Tag you will save money and have a great looking watch.

come on omega you are not serious are you? (backpedal dude....)

What's wrong? Just going to AD to check out how good my aqua racer rep compare to gen(The rep is indeed as good as gen).

Anyway, I am not going to pawn my rep as gen. Don't worry. :D

It's a fundamental rule of the forum.... DON'T take your reps into an AD
Some people are too stubborn to listen to sage advice.

Bro, the gen watch is just outside the AD on the display case. I just stand there stare at the display and my rep. I don't think that will still constitute a breach of forum rules, right? Haha.. Don' t worry.

Or there s a rules we cant have the rep within 50m radius of the AD? :D
