SOSF 42mm ?

I have just bought a SOSF, which following the history originally came from Madcatlancelot quite a while ago.

I love the watch, but was surprised that it felt smaller than the Gen I have tried at many an AD.

I have measured the bezel and it appears to be 42mm across the face, the way the bezel tapers it may be 44mm at the base of the bezel. However I think this is the 42mm SOSF. The lug width is 22mm, can anyone help me.

Is the lug width of the 44mm SOSF 22mm ?

I love this watch so much I would consider upgrading to a swiss copy, however I do not wish to do this if this is in fact a 42mm SOSF which is why it fits so nicely. The lume dots are very white, the date window maybe a fraction too left compared to the Gen but it has a very silver/white dial not yellowish at all. The date window is also silver on the face and the inner bezel.

Does anyone have experience of this, is this a 42mm SOSF ?

Looking at breitling's web the lug width on the gen 44mm SOSF is 22mm so perhaps this is a 44mm SOSF, I will borrow some calipers at the weekend and accurately measure the bezel width.

It just wears smaller than my 44mm BCE, perhaps this is down to the lug shape and thickness on the non-chrono.

What were you wearing before the sosf? After a week of dssd my sosf wears small as anything I can think of.

at the moment I alternate between Navitimer, BCE, GMTII, UPO (42mm)

the SOSF feels smaller than the BCE but larger than the others. I may go back to an AD and try on a gen SOSF and see if there are different.

All 3 of the ones I have owned are that size....As is my present one...

Congrats on becoming the new owner of the sosf, T had it for a short while before he decided to sell it.

I had this watch for quite some time and been using a 22/20mm brown leather strap on it, it was listed by the dealer as the steelfish 44mm running Asian2813 movt.
