Hey guys,

I know these threads are a little frowned upon but I have done my research and I'm coming up a bit blank.

Basically, I am after a Rolex GMT Master IIc two tone with black dial. The problem is, the numerals on the bezel on the reps the dealers stock... they suck. I've checked several dealers and all their ETA 2836 TT offerings have text like this (Lay is only an example, I looked at this on multiple dealers)

Kind of a murky yellowy tinge, right? Here is gen:

Lush gold, looks a lot like the plating. Here is an example of a rep I have seen with similar gold colour, courtesy of rolly_olly:

I know better reps are out there, the question is, does anyone know where they are cause I can't bloody find em! I'm not after perfection, just can't abide that yellow text! >.<

This is Timeshops offering - text is a better yellow I think. Not sure if that's just because of the lighting

I ordered this one, non-ceramic bezel but I preferred the color of the bezel numbers, which is really the key issue with TT GMTs/subs

Yep that does look better to me I think. That said, with a very slight adjustment in Photoshop (Don't worry, I'm not a dealer!) you get this:

Far from perfect but they kinda look similar to me in sorta close lights. But look what I just found! http://www.puretimewatch.com/product/gmt-master-ii-116713-ln/
Swear that wasn't there before haha. They mention the bezel is "Ceramic look" which concerns me, anyone have any experience with that?
Also, correct hand stack is a 200 dollar option!!!

I tried to look at Timesshop's option but www.timesshop.net appears to be down.

CHS is a dangerous option from what i've heard.

Yeah the correct hand stack has a reputation of being unreliable, just stick to the incorrect hand stack and it will be more reliable. Besides no one will notice it without a loupe

This video is also useful for checking out bezel coloring. I think basically what needs to happen now is we need to take the plunge and buy some and post pictures :)

I'm starting to agree, somebody needs to buy one. Timesshop and Puretimes' offerings seem to have pretty decent bezel. I might pick one up soonish.

AHX - mine just arrived in the post and I'm extremely pleased with it. I"m pretty sure they sent me the latest ceramic version. You can't see it so well in the pictures, but the tone of the yellow matches the gold really well. In certain light it looks like there are tiny bits of gold. I'd definitely recommend it. I was really nervous about wearing a TT rep but not any longer :)

I'll try and take better photos tomorrow - it's late here, so no natural light and I had to use a flash.

Here's my thread that covers this issue somewhat: http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/yellow-numbers-ceramic-bezel-p-74911

The pictures on this page were taken by me, and yes, the link you quoted is the model I ordered.
