Hey guys, can anyone give us more information about the ice bang full ceramic edition? Is it better than the previous ice bang's?

What about the life time of v1 hublot's in general, can they last long without cracking or having functionality problems?

Best regards

Alvinado has one, you can pm him to ask him, he was bragging to me about it a few days ago.

Got my V1 (non-lite) for a year and ceramic parts looks flawless :D
And so does the rest of the watch, so have nothing negative to say.
Looks and feels better then most gen watches I owned over the years I almost dare to say...
Bezel got a few very tiny nicks but that´s about it really.

It´s the one in my avatar.

Modded it quite a bit and it´s a worthy watch to spend some money on.

Cheers,
Jiddy

I bought the Ice Bang augmented edition, mix of the ice bang 2 and all black 2. Bead blasted ceramic case and bezel. The quality and texture are amazing! I recently picked up a TX Crystal so I'll have to get that installed one of these days. The ceramic feels rock solid.

It doesnt seem many people bought the ice bang full ceramic edition, they came out on 2009 if I recall. The ice bang v1 is considered to be one of the best reps.

The V1 is an amazing watch. I agree with jiddy that these easily rival many of gen watches that I own.

Lacosta, the HBB isn't a watch to be worn everyday. However I'm glad you finally aren't being too picky. When its on your wrist wont even care about the flaws anymore (except the crystal and date wheel)

After talking to a very knowledgeable member here about HBB generations, it was determined that its nearly impossible to tell the difference of the PVD coated and the ceramic V1's visually. However the ceramic feels wonderful on your hand, but will easily break and scratch. The PVD coated feels the same and will take a little more abuse and can actually be repaired if scratched. The PVD will become harder to find bc it has been discontinued. BUT some the PVD icebang has the correct case back!

That being said these watches really shouldn't be worn every single day. Buy a v1 and then buy yourself a nice all steel watch or V1 lite as a daily watch.

If you'd like I can take some photos for you as I have a ceramic v1 and a PVD v1 on the way (but give me two weeks though as school exams are near.)

what the heck, ofcourse they should

1 because they r reps, and not overpriced gens

2 what if its only watch

3 just cuz of material is not a reason not to wear daily

You'd wear a 700 dollar ceramic replica every day?

This is what happens to ceramic when you're not careful

u can make that arguement about anything, i mean even with a 200 dollar rolex rep or the real deal, if u drop it, shit will / can break, sapphire crystal or not it can break, cases scratch etc

the gen ice bang is, what 15000 bucks, and we spend 200-700 on a 99 % accurate model, so what is that, 3 % of the cost of gen...so yeah its worth wearing everyday, cuz u save 14000 bucks

the whole point of reps is to be able to wear hi end watches daily without hi end prices,

BUT some the PVD icebang has the correct case back!
If you'd like I can take some photos for you as I have a ceramic v1 and a PVD v1 on the way (but give me two weeks though as school exams are near.)

The watch I posted the link earlier from puretime says:

Case: FULL CERAMIC case (same construction as the genuine), push-in crown, display back

Bezel: grey color PVD coated steel bezel with teeth (finger prints proof and non cutting edge!) (Although I dont understand this one)

Clasp: black PVD coated double security deployment clasp

Is that what you are talking about? Isnt this watch a PVD V1 Ice bang? Also what do you mean by some V1's have correct case back? None of the V1's have correct caseback. They all miss these following things: Micro regulator, H engraving on the bridge, rotor bearing, silver screws for the movement and the 27 jewels stamp on the mainplate ! And if you want to be picky you should change the back crystal and make it double AR ;)

Please send me some pictures to see what you are talking about!

Dents in steel can be taken out and crystals can be replaced. When a ceramic case shatters you're putting 700 bucks in the trash. Do what makes you happy.

Lacosta This is a genuine watch. Please note BLACK SCREWS (correct on v1), SILVER CASEBACK (correct on rare v1's)...

Now the harder to find v1 rep with the correct case back and screws...look the bridge is engraved! As far as I know Hublot does not do ar coating on their case back (i could be wrong but every gen case back I've seen reflects light like crazy)
HBB-IB-LITE-04_enl.JPG

Now for the case construction explanation:
V1 - original with PVD steel case (no longer made). You cannot tell the difference between this or ceramic. (this scratches and dents if dropped)
V1 Ultimate - real ceramic case (this will likely shatter if dropped)

The one in puretime is engraved bridge and rotor? The rotor bearing is incorrect though and ofcourse micro regulator is missing! Gosh these chinese seem to do this on purpose or whaT!

I've been looking around for a V1 Ice Bang in full ceramic with the correct case back. Does anyone know where I could find one?

If you don't plan on installing a ETA-7750 mvt, probably better go cheaper version

just to clear up any confusion as the above statement is quite misleading...

The HBB "full ceramic" only applies to the top and bottom plate also some bezels (and maybe caseback?). The inner case is metal (probably SS).
If you drop the watch from a great height, you'd probably crack the bezel, chip the glass or crack a ceramic plate. This watch is like a mechano set so theoretically you can buy a replacement part.

On that black plate on the top of the case, is it possible to shave the bottom a bit, to make it aligned properly? Or even make it so that the crystal looks higher?
