Arrived yesterday, really nice watch. The factory did a great job on the case and the tungsten bezel is amazing. Crystal has decent AR and the black lume is better than I expected, probably on par with the gen. The rubber strap has a slight vanilla smell which doesn't bother me at all.

The only major flaw (relative to the other HBB reps) is the poor bevel on the hour sticks. A new dial and TX crystal and this will be an amazing piece. Even straight from the factory it is a very good value considering the cost of the 'Ultimate' V1 reps.

beautiful piece... is this the super rep that goes for $600 ish?

The V5 HBB are priced mid way between the V1 lite and V1 ultimate models... several dealers sell them for $498. At least at this time there are only a few varities available, one being the Ice Bang II.

Other current Ice Bang models are about $328 (V1 Lite) and $698 (V1 Ultimate).

I'm curious if the hour markers can be removed, you could def. Re bevel them with a surface grinder.

Any clue? I'm sure you haven't had the urge to rip it apart just yet lol

I was at a dealer yesterday and fell in love with the gen, seeing it in person compared to the pics of v5 the finish on the gen bezel seems to have been sanded with a finer grit. Is that the case.

Possibly but I don't think they are tall enough to support the proper bevel. If a new set of better markers could be sourced from another factory they could potentially be swapped. But I think replacing the whole dial will be a lot easier...

As far as the bezel goes, I have not seen the gen in real life. But the tungsten on the rep looks great to me.

Any reason you chose this one over the all black two augmented (besides fantasy)?

I have the Augmented, and while it looks very good, I tend to prefer the white, readable markings on the dial of the V5 Ice Bang II. I am getting this latter too.

I have the same watch and I love it.

I hope that a new Dial is sold soon. I'm waiting to see if Mikey's Crystal is what he wanted.

In terms of keeping time, very accurate.

I like the size of the HBB but bigger is always better... seriously thinking about a King Power Black!
