My handmade wedding ring.

I'm not the gold and diamonds type of cat. I like things that are industrial, raw, and handmade. I looked for months for my wedding ring and kept finding the same old thing. Finally, while looking over my fiancee's shoulder while she was perusing Etsy for a hairband for the wedding I caught a glance of something that was just my style. It was industrial (titanium), raw (burl wood), and handmade by a true craftsman.
I put in my order, stating only the size I wanted, and the engraving. I didn't realize how many variations he offered in his rings. 2 months later I received a ring that was much thinner, much more brown, and less wide than the one pictured on his sale page.

I wrote him, telling him "Thank you, it's great, just not what I was expecting". After a couple of e-mails he told me "Just tell me the EXACT dimensions you want, and I'll send you a replacement at no charge.". I did so, and 2 weeks later I received my new ring, that is EXACTLY what I was expecting in the first place.

Any way, if any of you are looking for a wedding band, this guy is the man. He makes rings in assorted metals, including meteorite, and with several different wood inlays. http://www.jewelrybyjohan.com/

seriously, congrats that you're getting locked up like the rest of us sad guys :)

I had our rings hand made too, when I got merried, nearly died when I got the bill

Well, I do take off my watch for work, so I'll be taking off my ring as well. lol

Plus, I'm a testing journeyman. I work WITH welders, but rarely weld myself (only for fun). But considering that I do A LOT of wrenching, dirty work, and am constantly wet taking off my ring for work would be beneficial anyway. Even pure titanium rings get mucked up in our business if worn on the job. ;)

Mine is the only handmade ring. She wanted a vintage cushion cut, with 100+ facets. So I ended up getting her this

The average "Brilliant" diamond has at maximum 96 facets. Hers has 145 facets.

Luckily my ring was only $170 shipped including insurance, and engraving.

I don't mind being "locked up". lol I tried the single life in germany for a few years. All of the partying, random partners, and stories don't compare to having someone who understands me, is happy to see me when they wake up in the morning, and has plans for me past a couple hours in the future. :)

The harder the material the better. I like what you've posted. How cool would one be made out of compressed carbon fiber like the AP cases? :)

I've seen some GREAT carbon fiber rings TB, they're works of art.

That's one bad thing about my ring, unlike carbon fiber, mine won't match any of my watches.
Unless I get one of these ;) lol

Very cool! I've never been a fan of gold rings, they don't match my Explorer foremost. Now we need to see a wrist/ring shot!

I looked into the Koa rings, but the Ti look is also so very slick.

Yeah, ach. I know, we're a mismatched pair. She's tall slender, and gorgeous, and I'm more akin to a grizzly bear. (as obvious from my "paws") ;) lol

Lmao They're 8.5" from base to middle finger tip, and 9.5" from thumb tip to pinky tip extended. I'm sure Andre was breaking double digits in both accounts. But then again, I hear it's the girth, not the width. lol

What's up with all of the Jessica Alba worship on this site? I hear she goes naked on chatroutlette. :lol1:

That's a great ring and a cool site!

If I ever get hitched then I'll have to have something different, I can't have something boring :)
