I'm not the gold and diamonds type of cat. I like things that are industrial, raw, and handmade. I looked for months for my wedding ring and kept finding the same old thing. Finally, while looking over my fiancee's shoulder while she was perusing Etsy for a hairband for the wedding I caught a glance of something that was just my style. It was industrial (titanium), raw (burl wood), and handmade by a true craftsman.
I put in my order, stating only the size I wanted, and the engraving. I didn't realize how many variations he offered in his rings. 2 months later I received a ring that was much thinner, much more brown, and less wide than the one pictured on his sale page.
I wrote him, telling him "Thank you, it's great, just not what I was expecting". After a couple of e-mails he told me "Just tell me the EXACT dimensions you want, and I'll send you a replacement at no charge.". I did so, and 2 weeks later I received my new ring, that is EXACTLY what I was expecting in the first place.
Any way, if any of you are looking for a wedding band, this guy is the man. He makes rings in assorted metals, including meteorite, and with several different wood inlays. http://www.jewelrybyjohan.com/
