I said I keep them in their boxes, but I forgot to specify. All the cases are in my safe. In case of fire or theft, no one is taking my valuables.

I remember when I got this box. "Six watches is plenty."

Famous last words! First I got six.

(Note the T-Touch so that I know what time it is when I set the mechanicals.)

Then I needed more space...

Strap watches only here:

Mix 'n Match here:

Not shown: One on the bench and two that I gave to wifey. I think that's it.

I need a larger watch box.

Yep, we watch freaks have to stick together.

We have the makings of a mini GTG, then! There are a couple more around, fo sho. Your Pelican will make for a great transporter, eh?

Nice Tommy! A very gentlemanly set-up. The dresser looks to be antique as well? At the least, well constructed. Get rid of any pesky clothing in there and you'll have plenty of room for watches! Nice that you can lock things up too.

I try to keep no more than 4 to 5 in my bedroom for daily rotation. The rest go into the safe. The problem with the safe is that it's in the dungeon and I did myself not bothering Yo take the trouble of getting there and changing over a new batch for rotation.

I need something to hold 6-10 watches, a variety of straps and I have a couple of gold bracelet and rings. I'm looking around because my stuff is getting disorganized , and I've got almost $1k in just straps and clasps. Any ideas are welcome.

Ha, I keep all mine in glass top boxes on my dresser. if anyone ever broke in, they'd think they'd hit the motherload... Probably $500,000 dollars worth if the were genuine... They'd be in for a shock when they went to sell them...

or I suppose they could just sell them on ebay as genuine... haha

Why take the watch off at all ? Until I started this 'hobby' my TT sub never left my wrist at ANY time, unless I was washing it in the shower with a little soapy water

Thanks. Yep, it's pretty old. Family piece. Somewhere between 1860 and 1880, I think. I get a kick out of how they routinely used Capitol Letters back then:

I am lovin the dovetail joinery on that drawer...oh, nice watches too.

Nice to know you appreciate the old stuff, too. I guess they don't do this sort of thing as much these days, huh. Now it's all staples and maybe some glue!

Johnny you do have ur watch insured right? It doesn't cost that much. I had a 2tone sub c+ Pam 233 insured for 160 per year. I just cancelled the policy cause I got rid of em.
