Ageing and hyper modding the BR02-92

Recently Targa because of how nice he is sent me a PVD non working BR02-92 which was totally complete.

Not wanting to miss anything I immediately started modding the thing and this is what came out of it! Oerall I am pleased; the case looks amazing in person - honestly amazing.... I'm probably going to buy a new rep and just distress the case like this it looks amazing...

will take it to my B&R friend to see what he thinks

Mods:
distressed dial and bezel then lightly re-lumed
distressed hands then re-lumed orange
handmade the minute hand as the old one didnt fit the new movement
used micro mesh to brush and age the PVD leaving a SS gunmetal look
removed AR and slightly distressed crystal
removed second hand
replaced movement, regulated
waterproofed and greased
brushed screws
sealed bezel pusher and HeV
replaced datweheel with a white one
replaced strap with a handmade distressed leather one

I have to say this distressed case is amazing; I got asked today by a jeweller where I got it modified (he thought it was gen lol). Honestly this case looks really really nice

Can you elucidate on the process of attacking the PVD with Micromesh. Very inspiring indeed! I'm just not a big fan of the 02-92 compared to that square look of the 03s.

Is there anyone in particular who presently sells an 03 with the quality of PVD on it so I could attack it as you have done? Recommendations? The face isn't critical because I'm going to remove it anyway.
