i bought a crystal from BK without a cyclops on it and i am planning on sending it to fine dd so he can put his cyclops on it. he has stated that he needs the exact template so he knows where to place the cyclops. i have 16610 submariner noobmariner from timeshop. any body know what he means by template? any help would be great, thank you

He needs to know the set up of the watch so he's sure to place the cyclop in front of the date window.
I can understand his concern. Without the watch, or at least the dial, how would he know exactly were it goes.
What is there to understand ? How is he supposed to know where to center the cyclops if you're only sending him the crystal ?
my fault, i guess i didnt explain correctly...i understand why he would need it, i was really asking in what way could i give him the information he needs to line the cyclops up correctly. Did he need dimensions? or exactly what version sub i have? etc... anyways, i apologize for not being clear. since im in the US i cant send the watch to him, only the crystal but ive talked to rsh and I think we have worked out a solution.
No need to get agressive. He could have assumed all reps of a particular model were built the same way.
Yes, he needs to know how far the cylop needs to sit from the side of the crystal. You can send him measurements but I think it would be easier to send him the watch.
Problem is that he is in the US. Customs in Germany is a royal PITA.
Maybe put your watch sans crystal on a scanner along with a (metric) scale. Then he can compare.

Only for the GMT II c I know 4 different crystal...for the UPO 45.5 only 5 different crystal etc etc.
I don´t accept complete watches from oversea because of the strict german customs.
maybe I can build him a individual piece, so every date window can fit...
Gents we are talking about dimensions in the range of 0,1 mm.
It is not possible without the watch or the original crystal.
