went to dinner last night with an ex-airforce guy...
saw his watch from a mile off (its such a beast of a watch, how coud you miss it?)
anyway, I went up to him and said "thats a great watch youve got there!"
he tells me the story of how he got it...
he was stationed in the middle east and he goes to a meeting with some dude - brings an aussie slouch hat to give him as a present
he receives in return, a watch box
lo and behold the Super Avenger!!!!
very impressive in real life (though too big for me!)
