Gen or Rep??

Guys need some advice on this; gen or rep?

Bud hard to tell, but the lettering , engravings all looks good. The pearl is a little off, but some gens have them like that too.

It would help to have a straight shot of the entire dial, but based on these pictures, I'd say that because of the bluish AR and how close the 'tick after 10' is to the 10, that it's a rep.

The black sticks rep dials have all seconds markers the same lenght. The gen have the first second after 12 shorter (as this one appears to have in the first picture.) Bezel riders look deeply engraved as well..

From those pictures- Dial looks gen, bezel/riders look gen, date looks gen. Pearl looks gen to me. I think we see reps everywhere

I go with gen.

other:

waterproof 10 bar, V2 case with correct AR & date between lugs, full overhaul, service and regulation.

Five years ago, I'd say gen.

I will say the screen print on the dial looks gen in terms of quality.

The date font bothers me, but that is a very close-up photo, so ??? The hands look rather flat, but so do the hands on a few of my gens.

The bezel seems very well made, and while the pearl sits just flush, the quality of the metal around the pearl, and the material the pearl is made of looks pretty sharp for such close-up images.

Finally, the cannon pinion looks off, as my Gens have a very smooth pin in the center of the hands.

Judging from this, I'd say the dial is legit, and the movement is not?

So, I was wrong about the 'tick after 10' spacing (in all honesty, it's pretty difficult to see in the pictures), but I was right about the Rep, blue, AR (the AR is rep...right?).

sorry AR is spot on gen haha! :lol:

I'm pleased with this one.... really am... hard mods needed to get the bezel to fit but in all honestly this is a real pretty one.....

dial is relatively rare and hands are gorgeous....

all in all I'm pleased

riiiiight next project!
