I just wanted to make a post to say thanks to the forum for helping me through some very difficult times recently.

I stumbled across this forum at a time when I had just started to suffer from a chronic illness, I'm unable to work, unable to leave the house often, have lost touch with my social circle and have had my wife taking care of me, as well as my two young children.

I have to take a lot of powerful drugs which either make me ill, knock me out or stop me from sleeping.

During all of this, RWI has been a real life line, I browse at all hours when I'm awake, the users are more helpful and friendly than any other forum i have used and I've had some great help, and made some great contacts. I've made 'virtual' friends with several of the regulars and have enjoyed some regular PM activity that's educated me and made me smile.

I don't know when, or if, I'll get back to how I was, or how I'm going to adapt my life for work and a useful future, but a time when I've been at my lowest, this forum and all of it's users have kept me smiling, and that is a very powerful and beautiful thing.

Thanks RWI.

I have to agree you and I share a similar chronic problem and people on RWI are really great.

I hope you can recover - I've lived with it for 7 years so honestly.... it can be beaten!

cheers smidsy, it's nice to know it's manageable (although some times it doesn't always seem like it!).

Hey Plymman, glad RWI could be here to help!

It's stories like this that make the work worthwhile. We attract a good crowd here, a good, quality crowd! It is after all, you the members that make RWI what it is. For better or worse, RWI will be what the members make it. All the great Team behind this forum can do is guide it on it's way.

Good for you P!

Keep on coming to the Forum for "therapy." I know the feeling, as I'd been knocked for a loop when I was diagnosed with a dangerous brain tumor, which had to come out. The surgery was successful but left me an invalid, initially. Four years of hospitalizations, therapy (in-patient and out-patient) and hard work got me back on my feet; but, I lost my career, am officially partially disabled & still have maladies due to brain injury to nerves and cells. I found this forum after getting ripped off by scammers & have found myself coming here a lot to LEARN about reps, meet new people, who have been VERY helpful & friendly; and to just love my addiction to reps (I drool a lot over a lot of them); my wife has been vey helpful with my watch addiction -- as many members know. So, P-man, keep coming here; it's good therapy, you're surrounded by wonderful mates eager to help, and it gives you something to LEARN and ENJOY!!

Hang in there!!

Hey, Smidsy!

I never knew... . You're a wonderful poster who keeps me chuckling to myself & are a great source of info on reps. You obviously have been successful in your fight. KEEP IT UP!! NEVER GIVE IN!! Be as "normal" as your rep. addict... uh, hobby, allows you to be (along with your wallet & credit card)!!

Wow, plymman... Who knew...
Get well soon, friend.
I am happy for you that you have your wife.
She must be a real support, and I am glad you don´t have to go through this alone.

There´s always a life story behind every username on the forum.
We sometimes tend to forget that there is a person, with a life, and a history, with sad or happy stories he or she have lived, or is currently living, through.

And some people are tested harder then others. :(

You know, that's a great post Big E......I never really looked at it like that, but you're right, we all have our up and downs. Some more trivial, some more serious than others.

Plyman......good luck and here's hoping that the health situation improves.
