Chinese brands that scratch the "itch"

It’s a question of pricing.

You can get a San Martin for half of the price of a Steinhart, and it will be comparable in look and finish.

Or you can put a bit more and get a Ginault which is a whole level superior

Or for 400-600 you get a VSF or Clean rep which again has comparable finish, plus the logo (that can be a good thing or bad thing depending on your intent)

This very rational explanation can only partially explain my issue- I was looking at Steinhart for a long time before I fell into this rwi lair- now I can’t justify the price of milk (or eggs) as they compare to a rep- I’m a sad case, internet! But before rwi I found Steinhart to be one of the better deals in the watch world. I just still had trouble with their stuff, even as I wanted to love it.

That’s a very nice one!

I have bought my first Spinnaker the other month and am quite impressed with it. I liked this one in particular as it provides a pepsi GMT model in 44mm size,
Which for me is a perfect size:

This comment is great because I've been checking out their site almost every other day. Something about the Piccard scratches an itch, but the Bradner? I want one yesterday.

I love SM quality but I have not seen any design that made me want to buy currently

I love this watch. It's the only SM I own but reminds me of the GS I don't own. GMT always set to Brussels time.

Also, a mention to @C Master as I've included a "peasant" cup of coffee for your viewing.

In all seriousness, the clasp is AMAZING. The feel is great and not huge on the wrist. Everything about this piece is smooth and I wear it proudly.

Ran across this yesterday, don't remember seeing a Chinese Repeater. This seems to be a "homage" to the Bel Canto dial. Top button controls the date, bottom one turns the chime on and off. Seems to only chime once on the hour.

I also don't remember seeing such a stupid fucking name for a watch.

Only had the chance for a quick glance

Nice case, thin
Finish looks good
Dial is plain and underwhelming
Same for hands

Might have an issue because of integrated bracelet lugs curvature and wrist match, but will need to try more than 10seconds
