6497 movement problems / Any watchsmith in NYC?

I recently received my 177L from Josh and its having some issues with the movement. I notice it getting stuck at 54 second mark. With a light tap it begins again. This is with the lever on or off. Crown pushed in or out.
Also when I pull the crown out to adjust time, it remains. When I push it back in to do a wind, it adjust time. Only sometimes it "clicks" when the crown is pushed in to wind up.
Any ideas to this issue?
Also anyone know of a watchsmith in NYC?

it seems you have two different issues. I am not sure about the first one..some problems are possible, but the second one points to a short stem.

short

stiff thinks dat stem length is one possible answer for the keyless works detente issue.

Is their debris on the dial impeding the progress of the hand?

the problem with the crown not being able to wind when pushed in seems to resolved itself.

Now the problem with the movement stopping is still here. Seems like little taps it will stop the movement. To get it to run again, I just tap it.
Any ideas here? I am willing to open it up to investigate but unsure what to look for.
Thanks all
