Recommendations for daily watch

I would like to ask for some recommendations for a low-key daily rep that won't draw a lot of attention. I currently have a gen datejust and a newly acquired noobmariner but I am looking for something that less people will recognize at work. I own a retail store as well as a development company and feel I'm getting jealous looks rather than those of appreciation. I guess that's one the biggest problems with Rolex.

I've been reading the forums and browsing trusted dealer websites but it's getting overwhelming. So I look for help.

I'm looking for something low-key that keeps good time but will also be acknowledged by enthusiasts. Otherwise I'd get a Timex. :) I'm thinking a rubber strap but that's not critical. I'm also thinking 44mm or less. Preferably 40mm since I have a small 7" wrist.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

You might look at the 42.5mm Omega Planet Ocean on rubber. Cost you $4K in the AD. But you can get one from one of our trusted dealers with a Swiss or clone movement for, I imagine, $150-200. I have a 7" wrist and find it to be perfect for me.

Here's a black and white on steel from Silix:

I agree an Omega Planet Ocean would be a good option. I like IWC watches but they are mostly leather bands and look dressy, but most people don't know IWC.

Breitling steelfish or super ocean heritage, chopard mile miglia gtxxl, ebel discovery, tag carrera day date (my daily wearer - the date only versions are on special ATM foresees than $200), Chronomat B01 - all great reps, available on an assortment of straps/bracelets and mostly pretty unassuming unless you're an enthusiast...

+1 on what TommyBoy wrote. The 42mm PO is very nice. Low key yet very Bond-ish. :)

Very beautiful watch, I truly love the Planet Ocean, but I don't know that it's low key if you want a subtle watch. Rolex and Omega to me are the two most well known by the general public watch brands. If you run a retail store (High end clients are particularly relevant to this) and you're concerned about attracting attention an Omega, while a fantastic watch, miiight not be for you. But I think it'll be up to you to make that decision about whether or not the people you're talking about are cluey about watches and would identify a PO on your wrist as well as a Rolex. I certainly would have before I got into the rep game. Although I probably would have gone "Oh man an Omega watch like Daniel Craig wears" rather than "Oh man an Omega Planet Ocean on rubber strap, wonder if the logo is accurate and if the numbers are the right size" like I would now haha.

Who cares what they think. You work hard. Wear what you like and enjoy it. Remember "You cant always make everyone happy".
I think the omega PO 42 would be a good choice. Or a Tag Carrera.

Thanks for the replies!

As much as I wish I could wear what I wanted without concern, the fact is people pass judgement that can ultimately negatively affect business. So I need to be aware that perception is critical and wear a watch that is appropriate. On my personal time anything goes.

I really like the Planet Ocean but I feel it somewhat crosses over with my Sub. I know it doesn't really, but since I'm trying to diversify a bit I think it may fall in the same category due to style and recognition. I will add it to my collection, but I'm not sure if it's what I'm looking for right now.

I also like Tag F1 but that's a watch I would probably get gen. The Pendulum is beautiful too (http://www.timesshop.net/product.php?id_product=7144), but at 47mm it may be too big for my wrist. I would need to try this size before purchasing. Not that I could afford it right now, but are the gens even for sale?

I like the looks and rep price point of the steelfish (http://www.replicamake.com/product_info.php?cPath=88_253&products_id=343) but it reminds me too much of an older tag link I have.

All of a sudden I seem so picky! What has RWI done to me! Hahaha :)

I need to take a good hard look at IWC. The Big Pilot is pretty much the subtle look I have in mind but again, I worry 47mm is just too big for my wrist. On IWCs website I really like the Pilot's Watch Mark XVI (http://catalog.iwc.com/product-detail-print.aspx?param=IW325501&languageCode=EN&countryCode=de). Does anyone have a link to a good rep?

Thanks again.
