Hi everyone.

As usual I procrastinated myself past the point of being able to get my Christmas present in time for Christmas.
Oh well at least this time I didn't wait to long to get the wife's present.:)
The fact is I still can't make up my mind between these two choices.

The BK DSSD and a GMTIIc.

I have read that the GMTIIc is the best out of the box rep and BK's reps are in my opinion really nice.

If you had to choose one of these with price not being a factor which one would you get?

If you say go for the GMTIIc which dealer would you go with?

Thanks

I've had both, and I'd got GMT all the way. Timeshops has a great deal at the moment and both ReplicaMake and Marvelous Replica are excellent options as well.

I'd go for the GMT2c! Replicamake has the Asia ETA for $158!

I'd go with the GMT IIc; the DSSD is just too vulgar for my taste. Timeshops would be a good place to start as they have the best price at the moment.

The GMTII looks more busy, if you like busy watches and also is smaller. The size is a parameter IMO. What is your wristsize ?

I got mine from MR.

of the two i would go for the gm2c, i think its more versatile. the dssd is large, like pam large. if thats what you want cool. but for me i think if i only bought one it would be the gmt. full disclosure: i just got the T4D DSSD/GMT2c/SUBc deal shipped to me. so i didn't choose i just bought cheaper stuff....

It depends what you want it for, they are very different so it is really just down to taste.

Have you seen them both in the flesh at an AD? it may be worth having a look at the DSSD in particular as it is very bulky - more so than it appears in photos, and it would be an idea to make sure you know what you would be getting.

Personally of the two, I would get the GMTII with red/blue bezel (but the Explorer I is higher up my 'wish list').....

DSSD its a great watch. :)
GMTIIc is to small for my taste,if you like a small watch go for GMTII.

I´ve got both.
They are two completely different watches.

Look at it this way: Are you planning to get both sometime in the future?

If so, which one of the watches are likely to be discontinued first? (Like the Super Sea-Dweller.)

Buy the one that are hardest to get first, which in this case probably is the DSSD from BK, if that´s the version you want.

Myself I bought the RWI Promotion DSSD from Timesshop and that´s really a absolutely great watch!

The only one in existence with 2893-2 ETA movement that I know off.

Thanks for all of the great feedback. The GMTIIc seems to be out of the box a great rep.
I didn't consider size as an issue as I wear big and small with no problem.
I think that my next step would be a visit to the Rolex dealer for some up close hands on time with both models.

The DSSD is a really big and heavy watch. It depends is you are looking for a daily or a weekend watch.

I would go for the GMT II (and I am getting one via TS promotion :D )
