Buying my first Breitling

Hello,

I am new to the forum, and I am planning on purchasing my first Breitling Navitimer, but I am not very knowledgeable about replicas, so I'm turning to you for help.

I would like to purchase the best replica possible for ~$300, in silver with a black face. In addition, I would like the movement to be engraved. I'm simply looking for a replica that is as close to a gen as possible. Here are two sites I have found with similar watches, yet different prices.

http://www.replicamake.com/product_info.php?cPath=88_252&products_id=1845

http://www.puretimewatch.com/product/navitimer-ss-black-stick-dial-on-bracelet/

Q#1: Are there any differences between these watches? They seem to be the same, but I thought I should ask.

Q#2: Are there any other Navitimer reps that are better?? These are only $200 and feature a 7750 asian movement. Are there any other movements available?

Q#3: Has anyone purchased a replica box, and if so, are they good quality, or would I be better off finding a gen box on ebay??? (http://www.replicamake.com/product_info.php?cPath=282&products_id=1970)

Thanks so much.

dont get a gen box off ebay get one from a trusted dealer or supplier (e.g. myself or an AD)

Replica Navitimers are poor reps hence the lower price - there are better reps for the 250-300USD mark....

the a7750 is a fine movement! especially at that price. To be honest there will always be flaws and why do you need the movement to be engraved?

My advise is to buy the Heritage SO or another Briet with a 12-6-9 layout as your first watch. If you look at the watch you selected, see the sunken datewheel and go compare it with the gen.

The 12-6-9 layout is native to the 7750 where as the Navitimer model you chose, has an A7750 modded to be a 7753. Should be ok... but.. it has a sunken datewheel which is more of a flaw than the engraved movement. ;)

Smidsy helped me a great deal in my purchase. I would go with what he says. I have a friend who purchased a Navitimer and it was around $200 and it was very poor quality. The Bezel was loose after a few days and just looked bad. I would spend in the $300 range to get a better quality one.

Question why do you want the box?

It's says that they have AR on the, is that true? I mean I know it's a trusted dealer but wouldn't the price be higher if it had AR. Or is it a shitty AR that needs to be modified anyway?

Also, it doesn't look like it has AR on the picture, I could be wrong.

Thanks for the help fellas. I appreciate the advice. The SO Heritage is a gorgeous watch. I'll take your advice and purchase one of those instead. Anyone know where I can find this watch - http://www.watcheshead.com/wp-conte...ing-superocean-heritage-chronograph-watch.jpg

The box and movement engraving aren't essential. I just wanted to find a watch that was similar to the real deal. The box would just make a nice addition to my shelf. I have a strange fetish for packaging. ;)

Thanks again.

the mesh is not accurately repped.
so you'll have to look into other options if you want a mesh band.

In that link I posted previously another member who purchased from hont said:

Hont did not have this version posted on his site so I sent him a picture of a V3 and stressed my desire for the correct date font and 10 tick...

My question is whether this watch from Lay will be the exact same as the one in the other thread, with the correct date font and 10 tick?

From Lay: http://www.replicamake.com/product_info.php?cPath=88_249&products_id=342

Other thread (watch purchased from hont): http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/...from-42121?highlight=hont+breitling+chronomat

the V3 is the one you want for the chronomat evolution graphite.

get graphite, not grey, the graphite is closer to gen.

only issue on it really is the lume, it's too green looking on the reps.
but if you send it to vac or another lume modder to be superlumed, they can
match the gen color of lume, then you basically have a super rep on your hands.

that one from Lay seems to be a V2, and the one from Hont looks like a V3.

looking at Lay's site, he has several V3s, which are $100 cheaper than the V2, but
no graphite one. he does have a very good looking grey one though. I like it a lot.
for $198... I just might buy one of those grey V3s from him, that's sexy.

The lume is fine stock - I have a gen and rep V3 dial here theyre the same.... not worth the cash...

however I'd personally go for a V2 - and franken it!
