Accidentally tooled a watch salesman

I was out at the bar the other night wearing my JLC Master Control rep when a guy noticed it and said, "Nice watch."
"Thanks," I said.
"What kind is it?"
I extened my wrist toward him and said, "It's a JLC."
"I work for XYZ Jewelers, and I can take care of anything you need for your watch. Cleaning, repairs, you name it. We do batteries too. When was the last time you changed the battery?"
"This is Swiss automatic."
"Oh."

I didn't mean to tool the guy, and if he wanted to have a discussion about watches I would have gladly told him it's a rep, but as soon as he started giving me his sales pitch, in the bar, I felt like maybe he needed a quick lesson.

Very good. I was in a jewellers on Sat getting a ring re-sized and the counter girl said she liked how i'd put a green "hat" on my Sub and it would be good if Rolex made different colour one's themselves To be fair though it was a jewellers only that didn't sell watches.
