I haven't seen pics of any Colt Single Action Armies in here yet, so I thought I'd post pics of mine. Its chambered, of course, in .45 LC.

Its a first gen, circa 1900. All matching serial numbers, all original parts, etc. Its been in my family since 1901.

The story goes that my great great grandfather was a Texas Ranger. His good friend killed someone with this gun in a wild west style duel. There is a notch in the handle commemorating that. After that, his friend got the spooks from the gun and traded temporarily with my great great grandfather for my grandfather's SAA. Shortly thereafter, my great great grandfather's friend was killed and my ancestor never got his gun back.

Of course, I don't have pics of all that, so maybe it never happened. But that's what I'm told.

I shoot the gun a few times a year and, frankly, its a workhorse. There's not much you could do to hurt this gun. It has always operated perfectly.

Here are the pics of the gun.

Pics of any other SAAs would be greatly appreciated if you got them.

Also, Anopsis, if you get a chance could you blue book this for me? Not that I'd ever sell it, but I could use a copy of the blue book page for insurance purposes.

I have a number of Italian SAA reps and a Ruger rep. They shoot fine. Would make an impact when that hunk of lead hit your body.
