Hi everyone,

I'm kinda new here but think this is a great forum!

Need your help with a purchase I recently made from TrevorTime...

I bought the best version of the Rolex Milgauss he has - the 1:1 Milgauss with asian movement.

http://www.trevortime.info/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_198&products_id=2040

Now being a 1:1 copy, I expect it to actually be 1:1.

I'm genuinely impressed with Trevor's communication and service but I keep looking at the watch and something seems OFF.

I think it's the size of the bezel in relation to the face? I keep looking at genuine version photos and my actual watch and it definitely looks off.

Just wanted 2nd, 3rd, etc. opinions? Please help? I've attached some photos of my recent purchase here.

Thanks!

Looks almost exactly the same to me.. Maybe you're right about the bezel being a tiny bit big vs the size of the face. I'm a noob so not too experienced at detecting tiny differences.

Here's a gen image:

Yeah, the proportions just don't look right to me.

Anyone else wanna chime in?

You will find this as you become a more experienced member: there is no such thing as a 1:1 watch, it's a marketing thing with the dealers... the only 1:1 is the real deal...

Other than that, the watch really does look great!

I have noticed the smooth bezels on the newer Rolex's can look slightly larger in pictures depending on the angle, lighting etc.

When I have compared my rep Milgauss and Daydate II to the gen they looked very close. If you examine the pictures sometimes the rep crown's can look larger or smaller as well but when compared side to side are quite close.

If your Milgauss came from the Noob factory the rep (as yours appears to be from the pictures posted) will be quite close to the gen. Ask your dealer.

Agree with Bronzy on both counts. Some guys notice verrry subtle things like the font on a datewheel, and then spend up and/or spend to get the watch modded so that it looks very close to the gen, but for much less. Other guys (me for now) are OK with certain looks and understand that less money spent means less accuracy, but the average joe at 10 (or even 5) paces won't have any idea. When people ask I tell them it's a rep. I was on an airport bus and wondered how many of the Rolexes I saw were reps.

Looks great, enjoy it.

Thanks everyone.

I've done some calculations...and it looks like the dimensions are almost 100% bang on from the original. Maybe I've over-reacted.

I do have to say that TrevorTime is a great seller with great communication though. He responds quickly and genuinely seemed concerned when I brought this up to him.

Thanks again folks!

Only thing I see that stick out but that is just me is the second hand is a tad long... look at where it cuts off on the gen as opposed to the rep.... still a very nice watch though.....

Second hand is slightly long and color is off a bit. Otherwise it is as close to 1:1 as you'll get in a rep.
"1:1", "using gen as an example", "Grade AAA++", "Swiss Made", etc. are all LIES used by rep dealers to suck in the uninformed.
Even our dealers have those terms on their web sites or they will lose potential buyers (not forum members) to other dealers that make these claims.

Hey Dissey, GREAT looking watch you've got there. I've just brought from LE, he does seem like a good guy. Just waiting for my watch to arrive.

Wear it well
