Wooooow nice bottle you could buy a gen watch for the price of this one 
I also bought a bottle for my brother's birth (1994) but I'm not sure that it will last 44 years!

1966 is not a very expensive year, my father wouldn't have taken a 1000 euros bottle for a regular sunday
I did not know as 1986 my year of birth is going for +/- 600€ and for 1994 I paid 150€ so I assumed that it would be more expansive! But the really important thing is : was it good?!

How did it taste compared to other more recent year Yquems you tried?
Judging on colour it doesnt seem to have been preserved very well. The colour is too dark for an Yquem and the top suggests some minor leakage (if thats not dirt that i am seeing).
For me 1997 was a fantastic year for Yquem.
