The Ferrari 12 cylinder, the Corvette 8 cylinder and the Porsche 6 cylinder. You have to give Porsche great credit for what they able to do with fewer cylinders than Ferrari or Corvette. And do it with a VW Bug rear engine 40 year old design! Amazing!

The GT3 RS is inferior to the GT2 RS and HA! You can have the GTO and I will still smoke you in a snap with the GT2 RS. Don't underestimate that care my friend. It's the 5th fastest car on the nurburgring EVER! Of all the cars it is 5th. It's infront of the Enzo, MC12, Zonda F with SECONDS of advantage :biglaugh:

Oh and don't forget the Porsche is 3.6L V6 engine against a 6L V12 of the Ferrari...

Ferrari 599xx is faster around the nurburgring than the enzo

and you need skills of the stig to take that GT2 around the nurburgring that fast, that thing is a "handfull"

Most all of the cars I see in this thread would absolutely suck as a daily driver, lol.

I like the Rover and the Audi Estate posted, though. Very nice pics!

this would be mine....

The new BMW Alpina B7

0 - 60 in just 4.5 secs with 4 doors and some of the most luxurious interior you can find. Absolutely gorgeous.....

if I was single, or married without kids, a Porsche 911 Turbo 4WD. As a married dad of 3 plus a dog, I'd go with a Porsche Panamera if I could have ONE realistic dream car.

BMW M5 Wagon/Estate because you can still get it as a stick.

Or — Mercedes E63 Wagon/Estate because it sounds/drives like a beast.

I read this on another forum and thought it might be fun!

Lets pretend for a minute that everyone was allowed to buy and drive only ONE single vehicle. You would have to use it for everything from going to the store to get milk, to driving it to work and when you are out enjoying your hobbies on the weekends...You know... if you like to cruise in the sun down past the beach with the wind in your hair, you might want to buy a new BMW 6-series converable, If you want to drive up and down twisty mountain roads you would probably buy somehitng like an AWD Audi RS6 or mayble a Porsche C4 all wheel drive sports car... but.. then you wouldnt be able to go mudding on the weekends... hhmmm... Maybe you just love 4x4ing and you live in Hickville USA. Maybe then you would build a hummer H1 becauses that still half ass ok on the highway if you want to drive to the next town for dinner. But if you loved to do landscaping for all your neighbors, they you wouldnt be able to buy a McLaren SLR would you? Ever try to get 3 bails of dirt and some shovels and rakes into a cramped supercar?

Do you get the idea? You need to chose the coolest car that will fit your current lifestyle and be functional for everyday use. Spend as much as you want!

Heres what i would buy if i could choose any one vehicleand you would own ONE only, that i would have to drive EVERY day for the next year lets say...

I travel a LOT on the highway on a weekly basis about 400km each way to my different job sites. A Ferrari would be nice but useless if i had to haul some boxes or tools...
There isnt lots of snow in the citys, BUT there is a lot of snow on the high mountain highways in Western Canada here so i would need something that can handle that.. So the Ferrari 599 is crossed off the list... haha.. But an Audi RS4 would be perfect..
I like fast cars muscle cars withgood leather interior. A 300c SRT8 is a nice version of that.
Sometimes for work i have to pick up orders from the wholesaler.. those can be many heavey boxes so any small car just wont do. I could get a nice new F350 or something but that would suck ass on the highway at speed.

I think i would pick.... A good performance sport utility.. powerfull.. sporty on the highway, can carry lots of stuff when needed and will get me through the snow in the Canadian winters.. My second choice would have been the new S550 Mercedes 4Matic

****Porsche Cayanne Turbo
perfect!

Lets see what you guys would buy if you could only drive one and were stuck with it.
I'll take it! ... What a BEAST!!

Audi A4 for me. I'm a student, so I need a safe car. This car is pretty safe, and it has enough room for me, my backpack, and its nice and comfy.

Alex your in the sam category as I am. I have to get to work regardless of weather and live in Colorado with the weather changing every hour. I would go with a JDM Subaru forester STI. That gives me all the fun of the STI sedan with the space of a forester to carry all my 3 year old sons stuff around and my dogs. Plus with the STI set up it is easy to flash a ECU and pull more power and still be reliable. Subaru has one of the best all wheel drive set up so I know I will get to work fine, and when your military being late is not an option. lol

I won't post another picture, but as a daily driver, hands-down an Audi RS6 Avant, wagon, kicks ass, comfort, it has everything I would want. Close runners up would be the RS4 Avant (I have an A4 Avant now), and while the Caddy CTS-V Sportwagon is impressive, it didn't really sound quite as good after I read a cross-country report on Jalopnik. If I had to go non-wagon, the Audi RS7.
