Hi everyone,
If you haven't already guessed it from my handle... I'm a big Bond fan. Just joined up today, and I am very much looking forward to sorting out this whole business of how to purchase a "real replica" online without crapping myself. I've almost pulled the trigger a few times on a lot of the sites, I'm sure everyone on here knows not to go through. Luckily I finally came across this site before I did anything foolish. I'm pretty careful and reserved about trusting anything online. I'll do my own digging around on here and see what I can find, before I start asking blatantly annoying questions about how to do all this, if I can't figure it out... ;-)
And now...
Lame Trivia about myself:
-My hopeful first upcoming replica purchase: A 1960s Rolex Submariner with Nato strap as featured in Goldfinger.
-Non-Replica (Real) watches I currently own:
1) Omega Seamaster James Bond 40th Anniversary Limited Edition (it was my college graduation present from my parents) Best gift EVER. My most cherished item, besides my wife.
2) James Bond Fossil Watch - 1st Model / 1st Edition: All silver body & strap with black face & silver 007 logo on face of watch (actually very similar to the omega 40th anniv. look, except fossil quality not omega)
3) James Bond Fossil Watch - 1st Model / 2nd Edition: Two-Tone Silver & Gold body & strap with black face & gold 007 logo on face of watch.
4) James Bond Fossil Watch - 3rd Model / Only Edition: Survival Watch Set, Black rubber band, black face & body with red 007 logo on face of watch.
Currently working on aquiring the James Bond Fossil 2nd Model / two edition (1st Silver / 2nd Gold) Gun Barrel Logo Flip Face Watches. I think they're extremely ugly (maybe the ugliest watches of all time), so I'm waiting for the right prices, because I'm only buying them so I can have the full collection of all five watches ever released through the 007 EON/FOSSIL collaboration.
I'd love to say I have more watches, or fancy watches, but my collection is small and has always revolved around the world of Bond, however once I acquire a rolex submariner, I may start collecting the Sonny Crockett Miami Vice watches from the 80s show. (Gold Rolex Daytona's I believe, however I could be wrong).
Thanks for reading my post! Any other Bond fans out there, send me a shout!
