New pics
As promised here are the pics of fishing.
I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures, they were mostly taken by my gf with a cheap disposable camera after she lost mine
Then cos she felt guilty about it she had the wonderful idea of having all the films developed in Trinidad. You can see by yourself the quality of the service.
Result : they kinda destroyed the films, I had to scan all the pics 1 by 1 and most of them are burned, scratched or weirdly colored, damit.
Just bear with me.
This is the boat.
We set off in the morning and I already am 4-5 beers ahead lol, It will be a great day.
Quick set up, the rods are ok, there's a wonderful reel.
Ye rods.
I am rather excited, the day seems to be full of promise. We are heading towards fishing ground and besides tuna banks apparently there's chance we will spot sails too.
As soon as we approach the banks all reels start spinning noisily at once wow!
Action time.
A few minor dorados to warm up and a good wahoo, 120cm 25Kg. No need of gloves for those.
A few minutes and a nice yellow fin tuna bites. A good fight but he has no chance. 32Kg, Very strong and sly fish, he kept diving under the boat.
I am quite tired now. A few minutes chillout.
TAGS! This time it's a big boy, insanely strong. Good job he bit the trolling feather, it's the good reel
Wah, sailfish. I knew it.
(Actually I was a bit mad at my gf after she lost my camera, but when I saw this awesome picture she took with that crappy shoebox I thought she had totally made up

)
This fish is very strong, he strolls about pulling out the whole line several times. I have to be patient and tire him out.
Finally he seems done, he stops tagging and let me reel him in.
When I feel he's finally mine, he suddenly snaps the steel end in a dart and off he goes lol.
I am happy anyway, I would have released him after a few quick pics. Kudos to that strong animal. He was very sly, he fought like a dragon and deserved to win. Respect.
Now I really am shattered.
Time to hook in another yellow fin and we are ready to head back.
I let the skipper have the bigger tuna, it'll be good money for him, and sharing with a friend is joyful. I kept the small tuna and had a wonderful time, anyway.
What a nice fishing day!
On our way back I catch myself thinking back of the sailfish. What a strong creature. Good luck out there.
Time to have a quick shower and bring the good stuff to my friend at the restaurant to have a dinner all together.
But he had prepared a nice surprise already lol.
As I owe her some good pics anyway, I'll give credit to this lady.
Ma bitch.
Bye bye to a nice place, going back to cold weather sucks lol.
Thanks for watching.
