How are these working for you now? Sadly (to me at least) they have far less detail than the original images. But perhaps you cannot see that on your monitor. Let me know what you can see, sharp or not? These were both built by Fakemaster.

On my monitor this size leaves about 40% of the screen as wasted black space. What do you see on your monitor?

I see a black and white steelfish that look awesome. Huge full screen photos though. LOL!

Do the photos spill over your monitor?

Do you have to scroll to see them or does most or all of the photo fit on the monitor without scrolling?

I agree they are awesome, just a really great dial design and execution on these.

They fit on my screen filling about 3/5 of the lengthwise and about all of it in height...

Great pics too

Your pics are stunning as always...

And now, with them being smaller, I can actually enjoy the whole pic all at once!

Guess I cannot go larger if they already fill the screen top to bottom.

What is the size of your monitor and the resolution it is set for?

I cannot photograph beauty that is not there in the first place so Fakemaster deserves credit for the beauty he created when he built these two watches.

A large amount of detail which was in the original photograph has been lost in the translation to a smaller size. It makes me sad to see that because I worked hard to capture all that detail. How do you feel about it? Can you notice the loss of sharpness or does being able to view the entire photograph at once and thereby better appreciate the composition make up for the loss of sharpness?

IMHO: the loss of sharpness is minimal, but the gain of being able to view the pic as a whole is priceless!!!

Thanks. I will then go through the extra work of reducing more of them. Stay tuned for smaller photos 3, 4, etc in the Rolex section.

I of all people don't generally comment on photos. But I see your problem. It is not extra work. The thing that takes time is the overprocesing people do to the images whixh is why they don't look true to life. The images are fine just resize them. And don't get resolution confused with pixels. Focus on the picture size itself. 640 x 480 is the best all around size for most screen settings.

as fakey said mate .... don't go to big .......you can always link to the full size image if you want to ...... because you have a large monitor don't mean everybody has one ???
to be on the safe side I would say 800/600 resized is great for all members to enjoy your pics ........ .. don't over-proses as said. I only do a little contrast and adjust the colour if needed . that's all i do on my pics .........

Mate, if you are resizing the correct way reducing the size will not result in loss of quality, sharpness or detail. I have a Sony Trinitron 21" GA monitor, simply the best money can buy, even today and these look fantastic, no better or no worse than the huge ones. Perfect size to show every detail yet keep the whole image on screen. May I suggest adding a link to the posts leading to the full size image. BTW, are you shooting in RAW mode?

Liquid - Wow, that really shows you how much less spectacular a watch is when seen life size. No wonder people mess the "tells" when looking at a watch.

Kendog - the color of the dial is really more cream than the pure white shown in these photos. See the thread now found in the fakemaster review section
