I've a GMTIIc which is excellent - apart from the inability to read the dial properly without proper AR.

I've been searching the forums to find out whether Rolex's have AR or not. So far, I've seen posts that say no, yes, and yes but only under the cyclops and back side of the crystal.

What's the right answer?

The gen GMT IIc has double AR only under the cyclops.
I have the same issue with mine and have done a bit to research so know the answer.
You can get the whole crystal AR'd - checkout fine dd's AR service.

Thanks. I've used Taka's AR service for four watches and the results are spookily good. He says he can do cyclops too, so I'll look in that direction next time.

So the gen has AR ONLY under the cyclops? What's the point in that??

some people who own a gen would still have it AR'd, so if you want ar on yours, go for it, AR wouldn't be a tell as such, only that you at best had modded your gen, and anyhow if you prefer to be able to read the dial who cares that it is more accurate to the gen without AR??

Yes, and before the GMTIIC, *no* Rolex had ever had AR on any part of the crystal.
