5512 white cartel build

Hello gents,

Here is another build I made with almost only cartel parts.

This time I wanted a clean and cared for look, a watch that lived his 40 years with joy and courage but which stopped by every now and then for some spa treatment.
There are marks, but they are vague due to the various polishing sessions it went through.

Lume on this watch aged gently to an off-white/light cream color, hands have been cleaned or maybe even swapped at some point through the years.

In order to get to this look I aged and matted the cartel dial, then relumed it in an off-white glowing fashion. Hands were relumed to match.

An Athaya crown and tube set was installed in order to get rid of the ugly rep crown. A new sternkreuz T19 plexi and an Athaya pearl complete the list of swapped parts.

That's it for now, hope you enjoyed the pics!

Any mods done to reshaped the case? Dial is left pretty much untouched except the lume? Very nice looking watch and a great description that allows us to better understand this watch. :)

My usual reworking of the case has been done for this build, most attention went towards the crownguards which have been slimmed down noticeably, plus some general case softening. And of course drilling, aging, polishing and so on.
Dial has been aged and textured as well, but very gently in order to match the general clean look of this build.

Are you still doing any pam work? You’ve been killing these vintage Rolex builds lately but as an owner of one of your beautiful 3646 pieces I miss the lines of your old originals. My favorite little Egyptian 6154 could use a resurrection

Love reading the idea behind and follow through with the fantastic photos.

I did not forget my first love at all, quite the contrary :)
I'll be doing a few interesting 6152/1 projects, but small production runs and delays have slowed me down and created some queue.
