I threw it together yesterday, with a 2824 for the time being, with a raffles dial and hands, also managed to scratch the inside of the crystal (don't ask) so got poly watch coming today. I'll take it a part again in the next few weeks and take some pictures of the assembly when I polish out the scratch, if people are thinking of using the same set up (BiVintage case and 2824. The first thing I was going to upgrade was going to be the bezel and insert, but the tube is lose now. I was going to do the tube and crown last, as I want to put a genuine movement into the case eventually, and didn't want to have to try and remove the crown from the 2824 stem. If I replace the crown and stem now, will the loctite cause me problems when I remove the crown in the future, or is there something I soak the crown in to remove the loctite residue?

80° alcohol will dissolve blue/medium strength Loctite, red Loctite requires about 300° C of heat to soften it.

This is my Bivintage, built bv me, myself an I. Tripdog has supported with some minor details... My intention has never been to build an exact copy of the original, that is just a waste of time cause it's impossible. I decided to have fun, enjoy and do it my way...

The Tudor Oyster-Price is Alive 'n Kicking...
Some smooth golden patina, aged hands, satin-polished bracelet... It's not done to 100% but enougt for a Cafe visit...

The dial/hands is from Shek, crystal is a 25-39 from Bellparts, the midcase is from Shek HR, so is the crown/tube/ caseback. Bezel is Milk,s and the insert is from Cousinsuk.com
The bracelelet is from Rafflesdials.com and the movement is a eta 2824-2 Top Grade...
