Thanks for the comparison, it's clear phong case is miles ahead. I just finished working on a couple of cartel cases and came to your same conclusions, to which I would add the cartel bezel looks very wrong with those faint teeth.
But yes, phong's is roughly 7x the price for the case alone so budget becomes easily a big issue.

Yes - bezel on cartels is totally off because the insert diameter is smaller, thats why clarks crystals wont even fit without modding.

Clarks bezels are good with the exception that on gen bezels, the bottom slants inwards towards the case, whereas clarks goes straight down.

This is exactly why I stuck with the factory dial in my BP 1675 build, I knew no matter how nice the dial it just didn't feel like a gen I tried on. It's all about the slim case, which is why I gravitate towards my 1655.
