I've never been a fan of the rep super dome:
So I decided to swap it for a lower dome crystal found on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tropic-19-D...3-1680-6538-/121730270766?hash=item1c57b0862e)
Actually, the crystal didn't fit inside the retaining ring, so I had to sand the outside of the crystal for a couple of rounds. It may not be accurate for the model, but I like this profile better:
At the same time I (intentionally) gave the bezel a few scratches to make it look at bit older. I know it wouldn't pass for a gen if scrutinized by a connoisseur, but for me it's an OK daily beater.
