Before I ship my HR to its new owner, I thought it could be interesting to compare my three Big Crowns builds side by side.
From left to right : Silix, HR, Tonny.

from bottom to top : Silix, HR, Tonny.

Yes all decals dial. The last one on Tonny case is the best... until next I'm testing a new gold support. Very difficult to apply on dial but if it work it's gonna be beautiful [emoji93]

The silix dial is on brass. I used gold leaf on HR and Tonny.

I am glad it is not my imagination, I thought the HR was substantially taller than the Silix. I have not had a Silix for a while so I though I could be wrong. The bezel and CB seem much thicker.

Seems like silix is pretty good bang for the buck (although I would love it if it can take gen spec dial)

Bart's the man! Tonny and Silix are just awesome. HR looks great although much thicker than expected.

the only guy i know who ever made the silix case mod close to a modded phong was dlf. he had to shave the midcase and weld on material to the lugs to achieve the curve on the lug ends

Can't get enough of these! Very informative Bart. Sad how wrong the crown position is on the HR. The silix is pretty darn good for the money. It's funny with these BC people don't understand it can range from a $300 build to a $7-9k build!

Yes HR crown is too low because it's was designed to use a 2836. It would have been right if they choose a 2824.

For those who do not know history of this HR, mid case was thinned from the top to have the crown appear higher. On stock HR the crown appear lower.
