Hey guys!

If some of you know, I'm working on a 6538 build right now, but I ****** up the dial with the paints. I also lost the bezel insert. So now I want to try to buy a new dial + insert.

I decided to try and do a 6200 build instead.

I really like the 3 6 9 dial configuration, and the non-15 minute mark bezels of the older Submariners.

I'm getting this bezel from RafflesTime

But I can't find a good 6200 dial for a cheap price.

I found this from RafflesTime as well, but there's text at the 6 o' clock area that reads the depth rating and the word 'SUBMARINER'.

Does anyone know if I can remove the text there? Where else can I get a 6200 dial that isn't outrageously expensive? I want to keep it below the $50 price if possible.

The movement of my watch is the usual 2813 that you get in any Silix 6538.

Thanks guys!

This has been discussed a lot over on Homage Forum. A member named Kime posted two great threads that really go into these details. One of them is called 6200 build log, or something similar. Anyway, the best budget 6200 dial is the Helenarou. Raffles has a superlumed 6200 dial (much nicer than that one you posted) for $30 or something, but it doesn't compare to the Helenarou. So the one you posted is the pure bottom shelf dial. The superlume Raffles is still budget but better, and then the next step up is Helenarou. Members have aged these and they turn out beautifully.

Can you link the better RafflesTime dial that's superlumed? I haven't seen that in the website.

Yeah I realized the HR Dials are probably the best bang per buck dial that works in the Silix case. But the problem with this is that the dial feet only work for ETA movements. But my Silix watch has a DG2813 movement.

Hi, speaking only of the Rafflestime dial the 3-6-9 one is deceptive (the $30 plus version). I ended up changing to the Cartel one again. On the other hand the Raffles Bond-dial (also in 2813 version) I love it and use it whenever I can.

untouched Rafflestime 3-6-9 in the same caseset - it is superlumed but the numbers look strange to me, daylight colour is artificial yellowish after a couple of days I couldn´t stand it anymore and changed back, so fast I didn´t even have time to relume the Cartel like I wanted....

The Rafflestime 6538 Bond - budget-dial on the other hand simply looks great with a re-lume, even in the 5513 caseset, I love it:)
