Tudor Pelagos Blue from lucy + movement swap

just want to consult with you about purchasing a Blue Pelagos from lucy
​​​​​​i insisted about an A2824 and insisted on the Miyota 9015
now she sent me this :
"I confirmed for you from KW/V6(they changed a new name later,call XF) today,
it's in stock now,
so after you send the payment,I can get it for you soon,
the good news is in the new batch of it,
they updated it again for some details,
and the most important thing is they began to install it with A2824 movement again"

Now I also asked if she can order me a gen swiss eta and swap it if I'll take the a2824
the total cost is 600$
Should i pull the trigger on a rep Pelagos with swiss movement at this price?
You think she can find a gen eta in the market?
And how can i know?

XF have used BOTH movements in this watch dependant on version or batch .

KW/V6/VS/XF are the same.
Personally, I would never buy a gen Swiss movement from China. IMO you’re better off getting the A2824 and sourcing the Swiss movement ( ETA or Sellita) and doing the swap yourself. That way you can be assured of the quality and getting what you’re paying for.

As Hor-Fan says XF /V6 etc same factory . I tbh wouldn't bother getting a gen movement ! Buy with the Asian ETA then get that serviced and the gaskets greased. Hopefully then it will pass a good pressure in WR test and you can use in water . If you do want to change for gen eta source yourself and get it swapped over yourself .

Without An Intention hijacking the threat- I was in waiting room for a V6F Pelagos Black with A2824, (PT)

Had to refuse all QC due to horrible gaps at the endlinks to the case.
Couldnt stomach that, and I am no fussy at all.


As a Super Rep and NWbig, which it should be, I am kinda upset as what you get currently-
Changed to a BB Pepsi GMT

still want the Pelagos but the ZF seems to be the better choice at the moment- still unsure.

Any tips on spotting Pelagos XF V5 flaws?

I understand somethings can be subjective . However the ZF isn't the better choice you can be sure of that . RE the SEL gaps usually easily solved by replacing the rep spring bars with slightly thicker quality spring bars (everest maybe) which will tighten up the fit and positioning .

You really do want to be lead by the nose . Would you like me to QC it for you ? Use your eyes chap , trust your instincts , do your research re things to look for .

The gap was like I could see the white cotton glove of the holder through it, and that with two items.

Yep that is a SEL gap I have a ZF Pelagos and a ZF BB (V4's) both had SEL (Smaller ) gaps on arrival which were solved by swapping out the springbars . Although the BB now permantly resides on a gen leather strap and deployment clasp . I sold the Bracelet for the watch to a nice chap from Cananda on here .
