Yes, at least Swiss ones are. Miyotas arent very accurate.

The biggest issue is the noisy rotor also eta based clones are easier to regulate

Where does it say they switched to a 2824? The pics of the new v4 still reference the Miyota 9015 and not the 2824.

There is one famous non TD that shows the v4 with A2824. Perhaps they’re taking the same road as GF, and switching to a more desirable and I believe more cost effective movement

Not really. Miyota 9015 is factory regulated in four positions and just trumps a standard grade eta 2824 anyday.
However, the 2824 has bi-directional winding and it's just much much quieter.
