It is what it is. My mistake.

I only have around 100 rounds to shoot anyway. The indoor range ($20/hr) here only sells ammo if you are using their facility.

My home range is $100/year, and you go any time you want, for as long as you want. No waiting periods either. I feel for you brother.

If I can find some decent ammo, I'll probably get a membership.

I have a few email alerts set up for some CCI bulk and 100 ct

Among many others, I have one of those. Also the S&W Escort in .22LR semi auto. Also the Ruger LCR22 8 shot revolver. And an old RG 5 shot revolver that I bought a zillion years ago at an Army Surplus place for $39.00. Also a Marlin Glenfield .22lr 26" barrel bought back in the day, and a 1968 Ruger 10/22. Did I say I like .22LR? .22LR can be very deadly, and I trust that little round completely. Placement is important though. The mafia does two in the chest to stun (and possibly kill), and one in the forehead as the coup de grace.

But I also have from .25, .32, .380, .38spl, .357Magnum, 9mm, .45ACP, 7.62x39, .223, .308, 12g shotty, sold my 30-06 M1 Garand, but still have the .30 M1Carbine.

Bowie knife for when I run out of ammo.

No grenades though.

I was 7th Infantry when I was young.

I have a Walther p22 and have never had an issue with it. I also have a old Ruger Mark I and it has been a trooper through the years for my Father and for me. I learned to shoot pistols with that Ruger. I keep them around manly to teach people proper control and how to shoot when I take newbies to the range. I carry a walther PK380 during warm weather and a Springfield 1911 mil-spec when it is cold since it is kind of bulky. My other go too when it is warm is a Bersa 380. That is a great gun to shoot and it is a great price.

I owned the walther p22 and sold it 3 weeks later. It has many jams and would fire with the safty engadged. The Ruger I hear good things about but IMO the best 22 plinker is the Ruger MkIII. Its 100% reliable will fire anything and doesnt require the more expensive Hot stuff like CCI mini mags. Besides whats the point of a cheap plinker if your ammos not super cheap?

They are much more accurate than the smaller plastic plinkers and look way sexier. But if your heart is set I would go with the ruger. MY friend has two of the sig's (shes a lady and they are both purple) but that gun needs CCI's to fire consistantly and mags are $50 each. I would just pass on them entirly. If your getting this to train with I would suggest getting a 22 conversion for your carry gun. Most of them are great, the glock ones do tend to jam. The good thing about the ruger is the grip angle is almost the same as the glocks. Or if your a 1911 kinda guy the 1911 mk ruger has that grip angle. My mkII also fits in all my glock holsters.
