Potential crown threads stripped, iwc 3777 7750 movement

Hi guys

My crown on my 3777 no longer winds in and just pops back, I suspect the threads are stripped. Is there a way to mod the current parts to 'bite' or is this indicative of a new part? And if so will I need to order a spare from a TD or will an ETA part suffice?

Cheers

From what I'm reading it's not the crown that is the issue but something within the movement. Most likely one or more gears has stripped within the keyless. you should send the movement to a watchsmith for a full service and replacement of the offending parts.

Sorry to be more precise the movement is working perfectly, winding, day/date set etc. The only issue being that the crown itself can't be wound down to the watch case if that paints a better picture?
