Let me first give a little background about myself...
I originally had no prior experience in watches or horology, but one day decided to get a rep, of course it was from some scam site and eventually it lead me to this place, of which I call home now!
I started purchasing more and more reps and started to tinker with them. Coming from a past of many hobbies, all of which were highly mechanistically involved, I decided that I should have no problem with watches... but as with any skill, the learning curve is steep.
I'm glad to have stuck through that curve and reaching my current state of skills to which I can work on watches with!
For that, I'm grateful of the forum and many members who have helped me along the way.
My entry is based on one of my favorite movements, the 6497, and the first movement that I successfully took apart and reassembled. I figured that I can help a fellow noob in successfully doing the same.
