HELLO EVERYBODY. I wanted to share my sadness. I bought this watch of the link. I received today and has a problem ... it stops. When it's on the table it keeps working but when I put it in my hand and use it it stops. I tap on it and start again for 5 seconds.

Can somebody help me? Before I complain to TRUSTYTIME and order a return ... can someone help or advise me if this usually happens? They have cheated me?

i should say to you that trustytime didn't cheat you. if they wanted to cheat you surely they could just take your money and send you nothing, but as you explained they sent you the watch

sounds like it may be possible that you did not wind your watch and there is low energy stored in the spring. do you know that the movement in the watch you bought needs to be handwound? it does not have a rotor and will not run just from being swung around on your wrist

if in fact the watch is actually not working, you could complain to trustytime and get an exchange/return, but that is a long and uncertain process so i suggest you try to fix it yourself

Reach out to them and explain your situation. They should propose a solution, usually an exchange - at your own risk - or help pay for a watchsmith to repair it, but unlikely they will pay the total cost

Hello. Thank you very much for your answers and advice.
I know the watch is manual winding, before buying this watch I find out about the movement and its characteristics.
I give the watch a full load and put it on the table with the dial facing the sky. In this position there is no stopping problem. But since I move it a little, just a little ... the clock stops. I put it back in position looking at the sky and start again. So continuously.
I wrote to Trustytime and their answer is: The watch is manually charged and needs to be fully charged. It is normal for it to stop but I need to tap to restart, like this for 3 or 4 days.
I am very ignorant but I am not stupid. These symptoms are that something is wrong with the watch. Trustytime has sold me a watch in bad condition and it is defective. I recorded a video showing all the symptoms and sent it by email. I am waiting for an answer.
I really feel very sad and maybe not cheated but ... Trustytime told me that before sending them test all the watch. I am sorry but I do not believe that they did not see this clear and serious defect.

ah ok
sorry to hear about the unreliable movement, stopping on a full wind certainly indicates something is wrong
as Tobel mentioned, i would also suggest getting trusty to help pay for a local watchmaker to fix the issue
in any case, there are stories of the exchange/return process of shipping to china and back again taking months and is usually not recommended

My only return for service worked with InTime but it took ca. 3 months including back and forth shipping. You may ask TT for covering at least the part of the local service cost instead which might be USD 100-200.

First tell them you are an RWI forum member and you know that they a trusted dealer over here providing 6 months movement warranty for all watches they sell. Show them the issue of your watch in a short video. Request a contribution for the fee of a local service of your watch from them. I think in your situation the best local service would be provided by an RWI member watchmaker located in/near your country. Tell TT you know they a trusted dealer and they strive to provide the best possible post sale service and you very hope that you won't need to ask RWI moderators for stepping in to help solve your issue with the watch.

Hi, thank you for you answer. I already did all that, claim and send a video. TRUSTYTIME tells me that I need to tap the clock for 3/4 days when it stops because this is normal because it is new. That I can return it and they will repair it but I am responsible for all the costs of sending and receiving. And everything that may happen during travel is my responsibility. I wrote to RWI explaining this scam and hoax. Nobody is responsible for anything or help me. TRUSTYTIME is acting like scam gangsters.

I fail to see where the scam is, they have offered to do exactly what it says their warranty is in their terms and conditions. This is the standard service offered by all TDs. If you are worried about sending it back to China find a local watchmaker to take a look at it.

Excuse me? You need to pull your head in son. RWI is NOT a partner of Trusty Time, we take no payment from them and have no connection. Everything in that post is completely correct and identical to the advice you have been given above. Calling them "gangsters" and then insulting the forum by implying some form of collusion is hardly a good way to get any assistance, is it? As it says, the assistance being offered is EXACTLY what it says in their Terms of Service which you obviously failed to read.

Tell me why I should not just ban your ass for being a rude little prick?

Just man up and get it serviced Pedro, instead of acting like a 4 year old. Most of us have had a watch develop a problem before. You knew the risks when you ordered it, and if you didn’t you should have. FFS, I wish a stopped clock was my biggest problem. Smh.

Why not send it to Rolex and demand they fix it for you. Since they are the original designers of the watch they should be helping rather than being scam gangsters. I'm sure they will be most accommodating.

You may feel you've met a significant loss but believe me your issue is dwarfed by those of some forum members who had been going through more serious difficulties during this rep game. Please believe in yourself, in forum members and moderators, and in TT as well. As I've mentioned my return for service did work with another trusted dealer (InTime). I had to pay the shipping cost from my country (Hungary) to China but InTime adviced me a safe and inexpensive shipping method. They had the factory service my watch and sent it back to me free of charge.
In addition, you might want to look around over here to read or ask for some help and advice. But please be calm and gentle over there, too.

I don't want help from RWI or TRUSTYTIME. It is very clear that there is a society. There is a mob attitude to fix: Trustytime says I need to TAP a new watch to get it to work because this is normal for the first 3/4 days!

Movement might’ve very well been damaged during shipment. Not necessarily the dealers fault. Is recommend to get it checked out by a local watchmaker and save yourself a lot of trouble.
