Hello folks,

My first post here in these testing times (been browsing all these years).
  1. Which is is the current/best version of Explorer II (16570, black) REP which dealer stocks it?
  2. Is there a comparison with previous versions or review?
  3. Does the GMT function work?
Note I am interested in the 39/40mm dial version (16570) only.

I found this http://www.puretime1.co/rolex/explor...d-sku4976.html (link fixed, but is Non-TD, wondering if there is a TD1)

Thanks.

that is not puretime's site bro, it's a scam site most likely. Please double check on our TD section to be sure and safe!

Yes, thanks. I figured out that this site likely a scam.. but that was the one I found at the time.
Looks like I have to resign to the 42mm version. Will wait for suggestions from experts here.

Your best bet would be to try and find a BP one. I lucked out some time ago and bought it NOS. You could also ask the TD's if they can source you one.

xD let me know if you want to part with it down the line.

Maybe waaaaaay down the line. It's going to take nice trip to Jersey to get a spa from our own Oascom soon. It seems it is very old stock, the power reserve sucks. It lasts like 45 minutes after being worn. xD

Thanks, when did you get yours, if I may ask? I can already spot a few things. Like the hour marker at 6 is too long, hiding the swiss made..hmmm.

It's not perfect but it is the best there is for now.

I got it from Nembo over at Repgeek.

This^

Also, if anyone was not aware the final batch made by BP had the lug detents placed too far back. This resulted in the SELs protruding past the lugs and BP's fix was to chop off the SEL so it didn't protrude. I've seen dozens of these. I purchased one myself (I have two) and had to source another bracelet.

It doesn't hurt to ask a trusted dealer. Maybe they can find old stock.

Ok, I will do so (starting with trusty time).

BTW. Which one is the most recent/best REP for the 42mm version, 261570 (black dial)?

Pro tip, do your own research. Try googling with these keywords... RWI 261570. All your answers are in those threads.
