Hello all,
I just want to share my experiment. I've been trying the paint mod on my noob insert since the colour fading over the time (bought it around 2017 CHS GMT).

First, I washed the insert with Thinner and then wash it with dishwahsing liquid
After that I paint it with the airbrush, around 5 layer.

Light grey primer > white > my mixing colour (white pearl mixing gold and silver) > thin layer of molotow > Thin layer of white

I painted it all over the insert then remove the the paint from top surface leave the paint just inside the number.

The colour really changing on lighting condition from white to very grey.
What do you guy think on the result?

note: I noticed that the colour in the number getting whiter after I wash it, anyone havibg problem with noob fading insert can try this.

Looks amazing! Great job care to do this for others?

Maybe, but my concerned is the consistency of my painting, the result may differ each time I paint andI dont know if the colour will fade over time or not.

Well if I were doing it I feel where you’re going. Would a finish coating of some sort help?
