Hey guys,
This is my first rep so need a little help here. Even with my untrained eyes, the SEL, end-link or whatever you call it, the fitment looks horrible. There is QC issue with this one and that I should reject it?
Thank you for your input.

Yep the SEL fitment looks very very terrible. Not the usual gap but looks like there is something wrong with the spring bar or maybe who knows.

I think you can reject it without being too picky

This is really strange... maybe the springbar was not inserted correctly or maybe it's bended. Ask the TD if this is the case and if this can be fixed.

Interesting how the watch is being held in the second set of shots...particularly since your original issue was with the SEL. That photobucket watermark makes it hard to see the springbar cutout in the last shot

I would reject , I have the same watch and SELS look much more even and less clearance

TD replied and said this whole batch may be like this.....not sure what the hell to do now.

Seeing reports in other threads related to the SEL and springbars this may just be crappy springbbars that could be replaced. I would do a search on springbars and the Daytona to verify if replacing the springbars in this may fix this issue.

Definitely not an expert and hopefully the 'buy the Noob' was taken jokingly as intended - if you are interested in the ARF you should get what you paid for and something that passes standard QC checks.

Different springbars won't fix a lateral SEL gap.

In the first watch, the bottom springbar was not installed fully, the left side pin in not seated in the lug hole, hence the case-to-bracelet gap.

In the second watch the lateral gap at the top right is not typical for ARF, and would not be improved by any different springbar. A 6 to 12 swap is the only hope for improvement on this watch, aside from a different bracelet.

Rep springbars should be made with a symmetrical 5-10 degree curve at both ends. Too often we (factories and us) end up having to do that anyway and ruin the springbars, the lugs, and/or the undersides of the SELs in the process.
