DJF vs ARF: tradeoff on the Datejust 36mm - what to consider?

Hey guys,

First post after lurking for a while! Looking to get my first rep and the Datejust 36mm, jubilee, fluted, white or silver dial.. is where my heart is.

ARF seems to be the most recommend one while the DW is terrible and requires mods. The DJF looks similar but it has a much nicer DW, closer to the gen one. I'm trying to figure out why ARF is so popular when the DJF looks just like it but with one mod less to do and cheaper to buy ($418 vs $388). Can you guys help me understand this?

There is also rumors that the ARF might come out with an updated DJ in the next few weeks so perhaps they will improve the DW....so I dunno!

as far as I know, DJF is far from Super rep, but with ARF, you just have to change the DW and then there u go u have a super rep...
