Which Submariner 116610 LN ?

After some advice as to which sub to go for and would be intrested in the members thoughts & experience. I’ve not decided on TD yet as every trader seems to have the same prices it just happens that Asian7750 as the pieces available including the noob explorer 2.

I vote for ARF.. Noob is possibly also damn good, but when i unboxed my ARF Sea-Dweller i thought "damn good ootb - next sub will also be ARF". Think the AR Factory insert is superior to Noob's.

Looks like the ARF is getting a lot of love on it's dedicated thread. Of the 40+ pages I've read the concensus seems to be:

ARF is best if wanting to wear "out of the box"
Noob is best if wanting to mod.

May as well go with the ARF, not bother with the spongebob mod, and install a gen xtal.

If you want to throw half the watch away and spend a fortune on gen parts then maybe the Noob is better. If you don't the stock ARF is in a different league to the stock Noob.

Ive decided to go with a modded ARF with Swiss ETA through BK.

I bought the ARF last week in Beijing. It is a fantastic watch. I have the gen Hulk... there is no difference. I recommend the ARF.

I understand your point but the spongebob mod is not a fortune and does give the insert the right feel with the peachy colour and all.

Depend how much of “perfection” you want.

Gen Xtal is also a must..

So in that case the Noob is a better start and you get a better end result.
