The improvements are subtle. Dial is better, SEL is tighter. On the ceramic bezel engraving seems deeper and clearer.

Just put in an order for a white one. Should have done it sooner. Will keep you all updated as to the waiting time.

What are the differences between v1 and v2? I want to make sure I get a v2 when I buy one, what should you look for with QC photos?
Angus told me yesterday that all models were on stock so I ordered the white 116520. Will see what happens!

AFAIK It is not so much that there is a V1 and V2. It is more that as the model emerged some of the earliest would appear to have used some old stock parts. As these parts ran out they used newer parts. I believe they also refined their processes and the quality improved.
I can only make this judgement from various photos I have seen. However it would seem unlikely that any purchase made now would produce a watch made back in March, when demand for the model is so high.
There will also be variation in bezels and dials according to the model you buy. From what I have seen the steel bezel is not quite as good as the ARF steel bezel However it would seem that the Black ceramic bezel is considerably better than the ARF. White dial, from what I have seen both in the one I have and various recent photos is excellent.
I have no first hand evidence of the black dial, but most of the dissent seems to be directed at black dials and steel bezels.
Makes me rather pleased I chose the white dial ceramic bezel ( he said smugly)
I feel much dissent comes from owners of ARF dead hand watches who are just slightly pi$$ed that this Noob even exists.
