Thanks guys, having owned a gen 116610 I have to say these reps are very very close.

With regards to the gen shortage this is a response from Rolex, wether you choose to believe it or not. Taken from the Rolex forum not my own correspondence.

It’s supply and demand. The US economy is at its most robust in decades and more people now have disposable income to spend in luxury goods. I strolled into an AD in 2009 and let me tell you they had an abundance of every reference. I could have bought 4 GMTs and six Subc’s if I had the coin.

It has a Genuine Xtal, Date Wheel, Tube, Crown and ETA movement.

I also had some work done on the bracelet.

It’s great out the box though I just like to change bits for the sake of it really.

I order this watch, and rejected QC. Unfortunately they are having the new version Date font which is very fat and could be told a mile away!

ARF datewheels are as inconsistent as a blind man playing darts.

Not 100% as I didn’t do the work myself but I believe the Gen datewheel may be stuck to the existing ETA datewheel as an overlay.

It performs really nicely though, snaps over crisp bang on midnight, quickset functions perfect too. Nicely aligned.

The answer is yes and define easy for you because i couldnt do it alone and my modder did it

The modder I used said it’s a tight fit but does go, as for how hard would depend on your skill level.

if I tried to do it I imagine I’d break just about every part of the watch including the clasp.

It wont be noticable in real life. I wouldnt worry about it.
