Lucerne-based Bucherer is one of the oldest names in watch retail. The shop's 130th birthday is fast approaching (2018), and to celebrate they've created a capsule collection of watches all focused around the color blue. The latest of the so-called Blue Editions is this partnership with Tudor, the Heritage Black Bay Bronze Blue. And it's exactly what it sounds like.
Technically speaking, everything about this watch is identical to the original Heritage Black Bay Bronze that launched back in 2016. It's still a 43mm dive watch with a special bronze case that houses the Tudor MT5601, which is a chronometer-certified, in-house movement with a silicon balance spring.
The differences are purely aesthetic, but they really do make a huge difference for this watch. Instead of the brown dial and brown aluminum disc set into the bronze bezel, we get both a blue dial and a blue disc here (just as you'd expect from the watch's name). The contrast with the bronze itself is much higher, and the watch really pops in the images we received. To complement the new color scheme, there's also a new blue and gold fabric strap with bronze hardware too. On the reverse, you'll find a special engraving commemorating Bucherer's 130th anniversary in 2018.

here are mine:
Got it from a TD, but not a TD from RWI list.
initial reaction - awesome!
The quality of work is amazing. The colour seems to be spot on. the bronze case is still the same as on the regular bronze, but the dial and the bezel are different. The colour is really deep blue. Printing is dont very well. Lume is good. bezel action is quite tight and clicky.
started to analyse this.
the pearl seems to be quite tiny and just needs to be bigger. I think its correct for the watch and matching the real, but just feels tiny. like a pimple.
the finishing on the case is not 100%. You can see the difference in texture.
between the lugs while its on Nato - obvious.
running 2824 so quite nice and sweeping. no complaints there.
Personal feeling - really good and beautiful watch. Not a super rep, but very good.
the straps are too short. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and they are short for me. the clasp ends up not on the bottom of the wrist, but on the side. this watch is 43mm, so not everyone can wear it, so the people that can wear is will be of a substantial wrist size. So why make the strap super small?
nato strap feels weak. the clasp for the nato strap has the smallest opening to pull the strap through so i know that its going to be destroyed. May be a case for getting a gen nato.
