In the 'gen' department I think these are one of Rolex's best bargains. I like the discontinued 'black dial' one. 3130 movement, 40mm, somewhat dressy, somewhat tool-ish. Takes some looking around, but can be had for 4k-ish

While the case and dial are fairly close to the genuine Milgauss, the crystal is an instant tell. This is generally known amongst the community.
It's easy to spot: look at the crystal from the side and you will see it's white. The gen is green if you look from the side. The replica has green AR coating to try to emulate this but fails ostensibly.
There are ways to work on that glass to.make it very similar as the original if you like tinkering with your watches and you happen to have the right tools, as I did here: https://forum.replica-watch.info/th...bake-off-another-milgauss-crystal-mod.378737/
Some other users have done similar mods with great success too so if you are interested just use the search tool and you will find them.

My only criticism is that's a big thick for my wrists but that's not a problem of the watch, but a problem with my skinny wrists!

The dial's coronet is bad and not refined
The rehaut is bit like a skateboard ramp
The crystal's green edge is solid green - the gen crystal has this translucent green edge
The lugs look a bit too short? Or the SELs are too long?
But since it is PVD-ed in black, then most of the tell signs are hard to be seen
But the crystal screams rep in my opinion

The rep has translucent edge but it's a white edge. That green opaque circle you see is a green plastic gasket that the makers put there that can be removed. There's also green paint under the edges of the crystal but not on the sides.

Ok, Guys might need some Help here. Hope this is not a boring post but thought I would post it here. I am in sort of a dilema. I bought this watch 10 years ago, was pretty much crap when I got it. The bracelet broke with in a couple of weeks, recently had them glue the thing back together on a recent trip to NY bc they told me the screws were stripped on the insaide of the bracelet. Well here is the dilema. My girlfirend, who is now my wife saw this in my drawer a couple of years ago and bugged me that she wanted it for a x-mas present bc she loved it. Well I did not have the balls to tell her it was a rep, and a bad one at that. I also LOVE this watch and would love to get a good copy. Well now I want to find the best copy of this same watch so I can swicth it out with her older one. I could care or less about the gasket ring and the improper green saphire glass.
The problem is I do not want to get the same quality one I bought 10 years ago bc it was really bad. Still works beleive it or not but the crown does not screw in well and well is just a bad copy. I was serching a while back and found a site that made more expensive swiss made version, around 800.00 if i remember corectly but I cannot remember where and even if it was a legit site.
Does anybody know where I can get a decent Rep of this very same watch? The Black PVD one? please? At least one that should be better quality than the current one my wife has.
Silix-prime has them but they do not even say milgauss on the back of the case.
Can anybody recommend where I can get a decent rep of this watch please?
