See the references for 16660, 16610 and 14060. The addition of the extra 1 in front only denotes a new version but the crown tube reference hasn't changed AFAIK.

I believe the tube is the same size, but I can't say for sure. I know for a fact, however, that on the new bigger style cases the crown is definitely bigger so dropping the 1 on case # will result in the corresponding crown being too small.

Can you get the correct new numbers fro the crowns?

You are correct, the 116660 crown is now 8mm. The crown on the 116610 and the 114060 are exactly the same size as the new series. You won't find a spare 8mm gen crown unless you have a parts account with Rolex.
